my mom bought me some hot plate for my gas stove when i lived in tempe, which i used for making espresso

it’s just a thin metal plate you put over the grate

this would provide stability for your espresso machine

if you promise to stop being so mean to me, i could find out where she got it

Yeah, a more appropriate method would be to ask yourself:
